Planet Fitness in Vancouver WA.

Planet Fitness in Vancouver WA

Vancouver is home to a couple of Planet Fitness clubs strategically located to serve the fitness and by extension, health needs of the community. There are 3 main ones we’ll discuss here.

  1. Planet Fitness Mill Plain Boulevard, Vancouver,
  2. Planet Fitness 4th Plain, Vancouver, and
  3. Planet Fitness Hazel Dell, Vancouver.

In this article, we’ll highlight their locations, plans, pricing, hours, best times to work out, and their jobs or career opportunities.

Planet Fitness, Mill Plain, Vancouver.

It is located at 8024 E Mill Plain Boulevard Vancouver, WA 98664. Adjacent to it is Parkrose Hardware store on one side and Ben’s Bottle Shop on the other.

Sandwiched between Ben’s Bottle Shop and Planet Fitness’ Mill Plain Club is a Physical Therapy clinic which to me is very well located just in case you sprain something or get hurt during your workout.

Membership plans and pricing.

Planet Fitness Mill Plain offers you two membership plans which are:

  • Black card membership plan,
  • Classic membership plan.

What would’ve been the 3rd plan, usually called the no-commitment plan wasn’t necessary since the black card plan is also a no-commitment plan. When either the classic or black card membership comes with the no-commitment feature there may not be a separate No-commitment membership plan but not in every instance.

The table below makes a comparison between the two available plans.

Feature.Black card membership.Classic membership.
Start-up fees. $1$49
Monthly fees.$24.99$10
Annual fees. $49 $49
Duration of commitment.None12 Months
Billing of annual fees.1st of any month within 60 days from the sign-up date.1st of any month within 60 days from the sign-up date.
Table1. Comparison of the membership cost for Planet Fitness Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver. Source: Planet Fitness Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver.

Though the startup fee for the classic membership is as high as it can be, its monthly fee is less than 50% of that for black card holders. This is what makes it cheap and affordable for a majority of people. There have been a few adjustments to the pricing since the last update.

The startup fee for black card membership used to be $10 but it has been reduced to just $1. The annual fees for both plans used to be $39 but that has been raised by $10. The current annual fee for any of the two plans is currently $49.

The Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver is open only from 12 am to 12 am on Mondays but runs 24-hour service from Tuesdays to Thursdays. On Fridays, it opens at midnight but closes at 10 pm which is 2 hours earlier than its closing hour on Mondays. On weekends it opens at 7:00 am and closes at 7:00 pm.

Its operational hours are uninterrupted by Easter and Labor days. It opens and closes at the regular hours designated for the days either one falls into. It doesn’t open at all on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Thursdays. On such days, exercises you could do at home like burpees could help keep your fitness goals on track.

There have been changes to its opening hours after the Christmas and New Year holidays. On the 26th of December, it used to open at 7 a.m. but its opening hour is now 6:00 a.m. On January 1stit used to open at 5:00 a.m. but it is now at 7:00 a.m.

The rest of its hours for the holidays are just as shown in the table above.

Best times to work out.

Vancouver Planet Fitness clubs are not as busy as some other clubs mentioned in an earlier article. The Mill Plain blvd club used to be free for almost half the week but it now enjoys increased usage. Currently, it’s only free after 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. On weekdays it’s less busy after 9:00 p.m.

It has reasonable activity from Mondays to Fridays. On these days it is most busy from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. so if you love to meet up and work with others during workouts, these are the best days and times to show up. However, if you seek empty gyms, then go on weekends after 6 p.m.

Planet Fitness, 4th Plain Vancouver, WA.

Just as the name suggests, it’s located at 11812 North East 4th Plain Blvd, Vancouver. Adjacent to it is The Grocery outlet “Bargain Market” on one side and, on the other side the Rent-a-Center (RAC) shop that deals in electronics and furniture.

Membership plans and pricing.

The 4th Plain Planet Fitness Club in Vancouver has two membership plans for you. These are the planet fitness black card membership plan and the Classic membership, as expected. Once the membership plan that Planet Fitness Club offers is less than three, it’s the No-commitment and paid-in-full plans that are usually excluded.

You’ll notice there is no difference in the membership plans and pricing between the Planet Fitness Mill Plain and the Fourth Plain clubs. In the same vein, there is no difference in the hours of the two clubs as you’ll see below.

Table4. Planet Fitness 4th Plain Plain Blvd hours. Source: Planet fitness 4th plain Blvd, Vancouver.

Planet Fitness NE 4th Plain Blvd operates the same way as the Mill Plain Club. They operate from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Mondays but now run 24-hour service from Monday to Thursday. During holidays they operate on regular hours on Memorial Day, Easter, and Labor Day.

Perhaps the only difference between the two clubs is that the NE 4th Plain Club is busier than the other Clubs by a lot.

Best times to work out.

Late Wednesday to Friday evenings used to be the busiest times in the club, reaching a peak on Thursday evenings. The club is now busy throughout the weekdays especially from Monday to Thursday. It is less busy on Fridays after 9 p.m.

Generally, the club is in reasonable use throughout the week except on weekends. It is most free on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

If I were registered in the club as a black card holder I’d opt to turn up on weekends so I won’t have to wait in a queue for any of the perks I’m privileged to enjoy. Otherwise, I may choose to use any of the other Planet Fitness clubs in Vancouver without the crowd history of the 4th Plain Club.

This is one of the privileges of the black card membership plan. You could use any Planet Fitness location worldwide. It is a perfect fit for you if you travel often.

As a classic plan member, the time should be right for you, especially if you don’t mind crowds. There is usually more than enough training equipment to cater to everyone. The weekends will serve the interest of those who prefer to work out in not-very-busy gyms,

Planet Fitness Vancouver WA Hazel Dell.

Hazel Dell Planet Fitness Club is located at 9919 Ne Hazel Dell Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98685. Adjacent to it is a Smiles Dental facility on one side and a Grocery outlet bargain store on the other. Beyond the grocery store is the Therapeutic Associates Hazel Dell physical therapy clinic.

I consider the location of the club close to the physical therapy clinic as important because not everyone can just walk into a fitness club for exercise. People with certain injuries or ailments will need exercise prescriptions and this is where specialists like physical therapists are very important.

Moreover, injuries that may occur during workouts may also need the attention of these professionals especially those with long-standing orthopedic conditions.

Membership plans and pricing.

All Planet Fitness clubs in the Vancouver area of Washington have similar membership plans and pricing. In order words, the membership plans and pricing for Hazel Dell Club are exactly what we have for the NE 4th Plain Club. They have the same startup fees, monthly fees, and annual fees.

Given this, there is no need to create a fresh table for it. Nonetheless, you can get more information via their customer services number which is (360) 573-4000.

Planet Fitness Hazel Dell hours.

The hours for Planet Fitness Hazel Dell, Vancouver, are the same as those of other Planet Fitness clubs as discussed earlier in this article. Their hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays are the same. Therefore, it’ll be pointless to bore you with a piece of data that’s not different from previous tables.

Best times to work out.

The hours of activity for both the Hazel Dell Club and the 4th Plain Club are similar except that the latter has more members and by extension, more crowd. The weekends are the freest days of the week. Thursdays to Fridays used to be the busiest but the club is now busy from Monday down to Friday.

You can choose the time that suits you based on your preference for a busy or quieter gym. There is no time you show up you won’t have training equipment.

For black card holders, you may have to wait in a queue to access certain perks whose equipment is limited in supply like the total body enhancement machine. If you don’t like to wait, then going on days when the gym will be less busy may be right for you and this will be the weekends.

Jobs or careers.

There are 6 open positions at Planet Fitness Hazel Dell Club, Vancouver, at the time of writing this article. These are:

  • Assistant Manager,
  • Club Manager,
  • Full-time Overnight team member,
